'Lanka Kumaru' cartoon launched in China

Prime Minister Ranil Wicklremesinghe was the Chief Guest at the launching ceremony of “Lanka Kumaru” cartoon film was held at the Pudon Room Keri Hotel Beijing.

The Film will be created by Beijing KAKU Media for Beijing Rupavahini Corporation to commemorate 60 years of Diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The true story is about a prince who went to China long ago and will consist of 30 episodes.

Already, research has been done while scripts have been written. KAKU Media hopes to complete the production within six months.

Special Assignments Minister Sarath Amunugama said that as about 900 million watch the programs of Being Television Sri Lanka can get a great publicity.

Deputy General Manager of Beijing KAKU Media Zong Yi said that he hopes to do more Television exchange programs between Sri Lanka and China in the future.
