President chairs UPFA group meeting

President Maithripala Sirisena chaird a meeting of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) with the participation of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and all the members of Parliament of UPFA today (27) at the Presidential Secretariat.The details of future activities of the government were discussed at this meeting.


A resolution extending the fullest support of all UPFA MPs to Prime Minister Rajapaksa for the government activities was unanimously passed at this meeting. It was proposed by Mr Mahinda Amaraweera and seconded by Mr Duminda Dissanayake.
This meeting was attended by UNP MP Ananda Aluthgamage, CWC Leader Arumugam Thondaman and EPDP leader Douglas Devananda and others who extended support to the government.
